What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
More Than Relaxation
Clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that helps you
enter a focused, relaxed state where your mind becomes more
receptive to insight, learning, and change
Contrary to common misconceptions, hypnosis is not about losing control.
Throughout the session. you remain aware of your surroundings. able to communicate, and in control of your decisions.
Instead, hypnotherapy creates an opportunity to quiet external distractions and work more directly with the patterns, beliefs, and emotions that may be contributing to your current challenges.

Our Approach to Hypnotherapy
Healing Begins with Safety
Hypnosis isn't about giving up control, it's about discovering the strength and wisdom that already exist within you.
At Grounded Minds, every session of hypnotherapy is individualized, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Rather than directing your mind, my role is to help you access your own inner resources while creating a space that feels safe, empowering, and supportive of lasting change.
Will you make me bark like a dog?
No. I promise.
Clinical hypnotherapy has very little in common with stage hypnosis beyond the word "hypnosis." You won't bark like a dog, cluck like a chicken, reveal your deepest secrets, or lose control.
Instead, you'll enter a deeply relaxed, focused state where your mind becomes more receptive to therapeutic work. Throughout the entire session, you remain aware of your surroundings, can speak if you choose, and can end the process at any time.
Clinical hypnotherapy is a collaborative, evidence-informed therapeutic approach designed to support healing, emotional wellbeing, and meaningful change, not entertainment.
Can everyone be hypnotized?
Most people can experience hypnosis when they are willing to participate and feel comfortable with the process.
Hypnosis is a collaborative experience rather than something that is "done" to you.
