Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be underweight to have an eating disorder?
+

No. Eating disorders affect people at all body sizes. What matters most are your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors around food, movement, and your body, not a number on the scale.

Can I recover without giving up exercise?
+

Sometimes. Together we’ll look at your relationship with exercise and how it impacts your health and recovery. We’ll work toward a flexible, sustainable movement plan that supports your body rather than punishes it.

Is virtual therapy effective for eating disorders?
+

Yes. Virtual therapy can be very effective for eating disorders. Many people find it easier to open up from their own space, and we’ll still use evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs.

Do you work with adults only?
+

Yes. My practice focuses on adults (18+). If you’re unsure whether you or a loved one is a fit, we can talk through options and referrals during a consultation.

Do you coordinate with dietitians or other providers?
+

Yes. When you’d like, I collaborate with dietitians, physicians, and other providers to help create a more cohesive, supportive treatment team around you.

Recovery begins with one conversation.

You don't have to figure this out alone. Whether you're just beginning to question your relationship with food or you've been struggling for years, we're here to help.
